The time has come for alumni to stand up, sing out and speak up for the language and performing arts at Charles Wright Academy!  Today the school launched a new webiste — www.charleswright.org/boundless — to give alumni all the latest information on the need for a new language and performing arts center, the design of the building, and the people supporting this campaign.

The Wright Stuff rummage sale is just four and a half months away and the second annual Wright Stuff garage sale is three weeks away!  Kari Whitney  is back with weekly updates on both events:

Lunch was, once again, spectacular at the farmhouse this week. Tanya made her Russian pieroji, Laura made an Asian slaw, and Liz made a variety of chocolate chip cookies, which we enjoyed with ice cream. Our Wednesday break for lunch is one the highlights we look forward to every week.

Yes!  We really are building a new Language and Performing Arts Center!  The Boundless Expression capital campaign reached a major milestone this month.  More than $7 million has been pledged by members of the Charles Wright community.  With that good news, the Board of Trustees approved signing a construction contract.  Work will start on the site in June, right after graduation.

Alumni events in Los Angeles and San Fransisco are planned for the spring of 2009.

The grand opening of the Language and Performing Arts Center is scheduled for September 2009.

The CWA Parent Association is hard at work preparing for the 2008 Wright Stuff Rummage Sale.  The sale will support construction of the Language and Performing Arts Center.  Kari Whitney offers this update from the Wright Stuff farmhouse.
