Boundless Happenings at CWA Events

Between July and October, the Alumni office sponsored events in Seattle, Portland, New York, Boston and Denver.

Alumni events in Los Angeles and San Fransisco are planned for the spring of 2009.

The grand opening of the Language and Performing Arts Center is scheduled for September 2009.

Wright Stuff rolling toward rummage sale

_mg_1305.jpgThe CWA Parent Association is hard at work preparing for the 2008 Wright Stuff Rummage Sale.  The sale will support construction of the Language and Performing Arts Center.  Kari Whitney offers this update from the Wright Stuff farmhouse.

Auction results truly fantastique for new building

auction-invite-pg1.jpgThe 2008 Wright Spirit Auction, organized by the Parent Association, lived up to its Cest Fantastique theme.  The group met their goal of raising $500,000 at the event to support construction of the new Language and Performing Arts Center.

The fund-a-need request brought in more than $145,000 in gifts from $100 up to $40,000.   These donations were matched by a gift from Holroyd, a sand and gravel operation, and its owners Stephen and Rita Nielsen.  Stephen graduated from Charles Wright in 1974.  His brothers David ’73 and Mark ’79 are also CWA alums.  Stephen and his wife Rita have a set of twins in the eighth grade here – Decker and Alex.

Wright Spirit Auction and Dinner sponsors make it all possible

web-columbia-bank.jpgThe CWA Parent Association annouced today the names of 30 sponsors supporting the 2008 Charles Wright Spirit Auction and Dinner. The C’est Fantastique event is scheduled for March 15. The Parent Association has pledged 80% of the profits from this event to the building of the new Language and Performing Arts Center.

Cherry red Prius tops auction list at 48 miles to the gallon

C’est Fantastique coming to Charles Wright

auction-invite-pg1.jpgPlans are underway for the 2008 Charles Wright Spirit Auction and Dinner, C’est Fantastique, hosted by the Parent Association. This year 80 percent of the profits will go to building a new Language and Performing Arts Center, a truly fantastique cause. The event will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 5pm in the Tarrier Dome. Invitations have already been sent and the auction catalog will soon be mailed to all those who have returned their RSVPs.

Parent Association holds first fundraiser for new building

img_1333.jpgThe Charles Wright Parent Association took a big step toward building the new Language and Performing Arts Center with record-breaking sales at the annual Wright Stuff rummage sale last weekend. In three days, the sale brought in $53,447. An astounding $40,000 was collected on Saturday alone.
