Boys’ tennis has a proud tradition at Charles Wright Academy, boasting one of the best teams in the state throughout the 1970s, winning a 1A state title in 1988, and garnering back-to-back state titles in 2007 and 2008.  This afternoon the 2008-2009 CWA boys’ tennis team will start their season with a match against Cascade Christian.  It will be an intense week of play for the Tarriers who face Fife on Wednesday and Steilacoom on Friday. Tomorrow night the 2008 Tarrier football team will play their first game of the season.  They’ll face Tacoma Baptist at 7:00pm at Charles Wright.  Excitement is building on campus and throughout the Tacoma area as football fans anticipate a great season for the Tarriers.  Read the rest of this entry »
